1. Purpose of APBDA and Its Conference 2018

The Asia and Pacific Band Directors’ Association (APBDA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of wind instrument music and promoting exchanges between band directors and wind music lovers through research presentations and lectures on wind music, concerts and other related activities. The APBDA Conference is hosted by those member countries and regions every two years. The 20th Conference 2018 is to be held in Hamamatsu City with the aim to promote and develop wind instrument music in general while disseminating “Hamamatsu, City of Music” to people in and outside of Japan.
